CLUBMX WEEKLY RACING RECAP: THUNDER VALLEY
Chesterfield, SC -April 16, 2012- The ClubMX riders had an impressive weekend of racing at the Mid-East Loretta Lynn's Qualifier held at the Thunder Valley in Tennessee. The highlight of the weekend was Shane McElrath, who was able to win 9 of his 10 motos on the weekend. Another strong showing was put in by Frantisek Smola in the A classes and Open Pro Sport who took home two-second place finishes.
Shane McElrath raced the 250B Stock and Mod classes, 450B Stock and Mod classes, and Collegeboy. He was able to sweep every moto except one when he happened to go down. Frantisek Smola raced the 250A, 450A, and Open Pro Sport Classes and posted two-second place overalls and a fourth in 450A after a poor start and a crash. Both riders are focused on winning some championships at Loretta Lynn's this year and will certainly be front runners. After Loretta Lynn's, Frantisek will also be focusing on racing the last four AMA Nationals pending what type of support he can find.
It was a strong weekend for our riders overall as they continue to prepare for Loretta Lynn's. If the results of our riders through the spring nationals and area qualifiers are any indication, ClubMX will have an even stronger showing at Loretta Lynn's in 2012.
